My Story

Nuala’s career as professional designer spans across multiple fields, whether that is designing Luxurious Interiors or Wigs and Makeup for Professional Fashion, Theatre and TV productions worldwide.

​

With a career for over 15 years as a Fashion, Beauty & SFX Makeup Artist, working on some of the greatest Fashion week shows in the likes of London, Milan, Tokyo and Paris and been published in many different magazine including Vogue.

​

Nuala has been working with Theatrical companies not only across Belfast and Northern Ireland, but also throughout the Republic of Ireland and the UK. With companies such as Northern Ireland Opera, Lyric Theatre Belfast, Grand Opera House, Theatre at the Mill, Cahoots, The Abbey and many more.

​

Recent Theatre Productions include the sell-out Agreement at the Lyric Theatre, International touring show Good Vibrations, Propaganda, Shop at the Top of the Town, the Award-Winning La Traviata, Gap Year, Translations by Brian Friel, Into the Woods, This Sh*t happens all the time, La Boheme, Old Friends & Other Days, Rough Girls, Sadie, Kiss me Kate, Playboy of the Western World, Peter Pan, Driving Home for Christmas, A Street Car Named Desire, Good Vibrations, Shirley Valentine, Street Car Named Desire, 39 Steps, Sweeney Todd, 3 Penny Opera, Don Giovanni, Turandot, The Importance of being Earnest, The Little Prince, Jungle Book.

In 2016, Nuala opened her worldwide renowned ecommerce store, Titanic FX which not only imports and exports a range of professional Makeup effects products but has gone on to manufacture and export her own products around the world to the film and makeup industries.

​

Nuala went on to develop a range of specialist Makeup Brushes for the Special Effects Makeup Industry introducing not only the first dedicated solvent resistant designed brushes for SFX, but creating them to a luxury standard, each handmade and vegan in design. One year later, she went on to introduce a high-end luxury Beauty Makeup Brush Range. Titanic Brushes are now known world-wide by Professional Makeup Artists and used on many of your favourite blockbuster and feature productions. In 2023, Nuala was commissioned by Toni G, Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayak's personal Makeup Artist to create a special engraved set of her brushes for each of her crew on Angelina Jolie's new film, 'Without Blood'.

 

Nuala Campbell has been working hard to develop materials for the TV and Film Industry from the company began. Her idea has been to develop materials which are environmental and animal friendly, but will surpass the performance of their predecessors.

 

​She is leading the way in product development which not only influences the Special Effects Industries for TV, Film and Theatre, but also in creating a level of realism in medical training which has not been seen before. Through her research and development the past two years, Nuala now works 1 to 1 with companies to develop specific materials and products which will raise the standard of medical care and see the level of cancer treatments for patients become a safer place with less damaging side effects.

 

​Nuala has managed to create a business which not only changes the way we look at our screens and stages, but has helped to create a safer medical environment as a whole right from the start of Doctor and Nurse training.

The Covid Pandemic saw Nuala’s career come to light in a different way all together, with her newly found free time in lock-down, she took her design skills to renovating and redesigning homes. Her designs caught the eye of the media nationwide featuring her homes in Belfast Telegraph, Irish News, Daily Mail and more, leaving her in more demand than ever in the Interior Design branch to her career.

 

With numerous Business Awards under her belt such as, Winner of the Belfast Chamber of Commerce Award and the Aer Lingus Viscount Awards in the prestigious Pall Mall, Nuala went on to be voted one of Northern Ireland's Most Inspirational Women and one of Northern Ireland’s Top 40 under 40 business people by Business First Magazine. Most recently Nuala was listed as Entrepreneur of the Year in the Ulster Tatler Influential Women Awards.

In 2018, Nuala was invited as only of the only creative industry businesses to showcase her work to His Royal Highness The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their first Royal Visit to Northern Ireland. The reactions of the Harry & Meghan to the products which Nuala has development created a media storm with images going viral around the world. The Duchess of Sussex was enthused by the dedication Nuala has to reduce the environment impact the Television industry has on our planet agreeing that “it was of the utmost importance”.

Since the Royal visit, Nuala has been in demand and working across even more industries. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and sheer determination is making ground-breaking discoveries for companies, not only in Northern Ireland but around the world.
